Darkness Falls

This is a little late for Valentine's Day, but I don't think that matters too much. :)

Love is many things. It's about sharing the good and the bad of life, about opening yourself up to another and finding what you share celebrated and cherished, about willingly letting yourself be vulnerable in front of someone, because with them, it's okay. There are an infinite number of forms and expressions of it; it is the healing of the spirit and of the world, and there is nothing that compares to it.

I count myself so very fortunate that I am able to experience this on a daily basis. Su, you are an unmitigated blessing to me, and I love you with all my heart.

    Who'd have ever thought that way back then, nine years ago this winter/spring, our lives would change so much? The biggest and best of things always start so humbly. But you are an extraordinary person, and I wouldn't trade our bond for the world.

      I'm so happy for the both of you :'D Nine years? Really? And a lot of that is/was coping with the lovely mess that is a long distance relationship, too, right?

      I'm kind of a newbie in dealing with matters like this, so if you two are veterans, I may just have to seek advice and counsel on just what I've gotten myself into one of these days. :)

    This picture is gorgeous. The heart and soul of it, the bond between you two, is plainly visible, but even just from an artistic standpoint, this is drawn very well, with expressions that really make the whole thing. Excellent work. :)

    This is really beautiful - it's fantastic that you (and by extension, we all!) met over a long distance, and that you've been able to form such strong bonds even over that obstacle :)
