I’ve got many reasons:

1: because I’d like to change my username on both sites, but it’ll take a long time to earn enough points to do so on DA, and on Weasyl it looks like I can’t change my username at all, at least not at the moment (and I might like to change my ‘sona from time to time so I’d like a username that doesn’t imply a specific species, as well as the same username on both DA and Weasyl so I only have to write one instead of two usernames as a signature).

2: because almost all my watchers are inactive… I suppose this is inevitable, I’ve been on DA for quite a long time with many different accounts, so I do indeed know this perfectly well by now… so maybe this isn’t a real reason at all, since I’ll definitely gain more inactive watchers than active watchers on these new accounts, just like anyone else… but yeah…

3: because I have a bit more crap-that-is-mostly-my-own-fault haunting me than usual, and I’m hoping that the process of moving from my old accounts to the new, which will take at least a few days or more, will help at least partly get my mind off of these things.

I don’t know if I will deactivate this DA account or not, maybe I will, maybe I won’t, but I won’t for a week or more. On Weasyl, since one can’t deactivate on there, I’ll just delete all my stuff off of there when I’m done moving my account on there.
