For Marle's birthday and a means to cheer her up after a long depressive bout, Taylor, Max, Steven and the others take her out to a local arcade that was conjoined with a hopping pizza joint. It was primarily meant for kids, but considering Marle had so little exposure to such pleasures, she was overjoyed to be experiencing these fun games and attractions alongside eating delicious food!

She pointed out the nearby claw machine which had plushies of each of them strewn about its basin. Given the events of the war, all of them had become somewhat like celebrities and children the world over looked up to them - so dolls were made in each of their likenesses. Marle was struggling to get the claw to cling to any of the dolls as each fell through the large gaps between the claw prongs.

Frustrated, Marle used her power to make one real. To Max's embarrassment, as Taylor and Steven chuckled at the situation, he saw a naked version of himself rise up from the pile. The claw could certainly hold onto this larger prize! Marle promised she'd stop animating Max's lookalike when she had him dropped in the bin. This was going to be a prize to remember!
