Natalia had to do many things while in the military of Livarnu, one of which was to undergo survival training. Each aspiring member would be given an entire week to survive in the wilderness after a grueling training session preparing them for such an ordeal. They could bring nothing with them but the clothes on their back and the wits in their head. Left to their own devices, they were given a task to navigate the icy mountains around Livarnu to make their way back to the capital city. They had a solid week to do this or they would fail out and have to do it all over again. There are some soldiers who died during this training and were found frozen later the next year during the thaw. During times of panic, Natalia would sit down, orient herself and her emotions and seek inner peace to quell the rising despair. This would help her think more clearly and rationally and discover the one, true path back to the capital where she would be heralded as a new combat member of the elite forces of the great nation of Livarnu.
