Back in the elder years, long before the species of mammals, birds and reptiles walked the lands, Llydia and her kind were the dominant sentient habitants of their world. The spiraling towers of metal and stone were not even a glimmer in the mind's eye when Llydia and her kind roamed the skies. There was no smog or clouded landscapes, seething with the toxic fumes technology presented. The dragons were free spirits. They governed the magic of the world for they were a part of it. It would be a long time before the Terror from the Deep rose up from the abyss and caused the Rift that would soon cause their kind to slowly disappear into oblivion. None of that was on the mind of Llydia now. She was just content to bask in the morning sun and yawn out those kinks in her jaw after a good night's sleep. Today would be another day of exploration and joy. To her, that's all that mattered. The future would come when it does, but today was for her.
