Marle Talbender was one of those inspired characters that after I saw her, I sort of knew exactly what I was going to do with her narratively. The more I planned out her character arc, the more integrated she became with the rest of the characters in Taylor's series. Now she's at a point where I don't know what I would have done without her, despite her being formally introduced in upcoming book 3 of the series. I wanted to depict Marle being happy and joyful and I stumbled across the perfect artist on Twitter to do it! If you had told me three years ago that I'd get attached to and include a giraffe as a primary character in my Taylor series, I wouldn't have believed you - but now, I'm glad she exists and when the time comes to unveil book 3, I hope you will agree too!
