Marle didn't know why it was so hard. Nobody ever taught her how to make dolls, but she knew she needed them for protection. She would sneak on her current guardian's television late at night and find home recreation networks to follow along with their sewing and stitching. Trying to figure out which tool was which was confusing at first to her, but she eventually got the hang of it. However, no matter how hard she tried, Marle couldn't quite get her creations to look as perfect as they did on the screen. There was always something off or wrong about their appearance and it frustrated her so. The more upset she got, the worse her precision got until she was crying at her inability to make something beautiful with her own two hooves. These dolls would be her protection and she could breath life into them so that her living guardians didn't have to be burdened with her presence much longer. Marle knew staying would put them in danger and that she had to keep running away from the people who gave her this power in the first place. Being alone with her dolls was her only comfort.
