So, Paz, a friend of mine on my Dark Side furry Discord server, had a snake character named Thomas that he wanted to get more art of and didn't mind splitting cost to get a cute image of his snake with another. I figured Taylor would be a unique and good candidate to play off his snake, especially considered her story and world does include reptiles. However, I wanted to have a bit of fun with it and maybe make an alternate universe sort of deal in the steampunk realm. A place where Thomas would be the master and Taylor/Ahya would be the apprentice in a mechanical workshop of sorts. The actual image we had planned and discussed with the artist is still in the works, but this was a lovely interim gift from the artist for our patience with them, their queue, and their life difficulties. Completely unexpected, but definitely appreciated and welcomed and a wonderful look into a 'What If?' scenario - if I had decided to go the steampunk route with Taylor and her story. Who knows...maybe I still will at some point in her six book series?
