Like many of my pieces for events books from now, these are conceptual artworks. They may not ultimately reflect what will happen in the book they are depicting and some or all details may change by the time it comes for me to write the book in question. This image is a conceptualized scene for somewhere in the middle of novel 3 of Taylor's book series. She is to travel far to a reptilian empire of war and machination, as depicted by the rising, jagged spires of industry and metal. She has found favor with the reptile prince there and is treated like an honored guest and emissary of the mammal kingdom. Now wrapped up in a tense political array of interests from those both for and against the war.

Donned in fine garments, jewelry and trinkets, she is kept safe in a tower overlooking the imperial city. However, this is all new and strange to her. She is unused to being treated like royalty and all this attention has her feeling out of place and alone, unsure of her place in the grand scheme of things. What's more, there is new life on the way that she is unsure of their future, given the looming threat of war between their two countries. How in the world did she get to be in this position and where will it go from here? All answers for me to discover myself and enjoy exploring as I continue to write her novels!
