For anyone who knows me, I am a huge fan of Linkin Park and it pained my soul when their singer, Chester Bennington, was taken from us in 2017. I have every one of their albums and I played them all on repeat for months afterwards. Their music left an indelible mark on me and I believe shaped me to be who I am.

I wanted to express some of that through my character, Taylor. A long while back, I knew she would be a musician of a sort, be it actively or once upon a time in her past. The more I began to flesh out her character, the more it seemed right for her to get into the hard rock, punk, metal and death metal scene. It felt like a natural fit for her and the more images I create with her in that phase of her life, the more it solidified to me that she'd be the type of singer/musician that would make Linkin Park proud.

This image, a few years late, is my honoring commission for Chester Bennington. May others scream their hearts out to inspire others with their song and remind us that when life leaves us blind, love keeps us kind.
