Knowing that she would have to defend herself against those who would seek to use her unique abilities for less than savory purposes, Taylor sought out various gurus and temples with which to train not only her body, but her mind. She grew to be a very capable and respected fighter, preferring to use a staff as her weapon of choice. She did not relish the thought of hurting other mammals and felt that the staff was the most effective means of putting opponents down while still adhering to her own code of personal honor in battle. The feline woman in the background could very well be either her master during this time or just another student - it is quite unclear.
