A Desolate Future

DanteAffinityXD

Sometimes I feel bad for Dante, being connected to me and all. Dante is me, but in many ways, I have grown an exterior in reality that is cynical and depressed, while Dante is always a spark of hope and happiness. Even as I often feel all hope is extinguished in the future, I can draw hope from Dante, but do I do so at his expense. I'm sure he'd be glad to give it and really, being the same it's just me acting upon myself, but I feel sorry these days that I've given in to a path more cynical for fear of the pain that often comes with life, but I still worry how bad I might become should I let such living strategies go, hence making myself vulnerable in the process to further harm that otherwise would be negated by the thick shell of cynicism. After all, if you expect the worst from the world, it neither surprises you nor causes you as much harm as when you hope for the best, but get the worst :(. Date though, Dante would always hope for the best, no matter what. So, I suppose I've even let down my fursona :(.

This was a piece done from unwanted vector art components in a commission I made. However, vectors being so delightfully object oriented, I simply grabbed the vectors from the first piece and dropped them into this one, resulting in a brand new piece of art, just by creating a simple mask of my character (the rest of it was already made).

Really love the fact that these vector components were 'unwanted'. The character is gazing to the left, which (in Western cultures at least) can be seen as looking towards past. The colors remind me of sunrise instead of a setting sun, though...

Well, I think they just didn't match what the commissioner wanted. I felt bad because I always want to please people with the work I do. In the end, I think it had a pretty good result, though. It works well for this :). Thank you for the comment, too :D.
