The Blood Eagle was a massive creature, easily the size of a small car. It alighted before me, gripping a smaller, less vibrant bird in its talons. I stared in awe as this creature lowered its large head at me, almost in reverence. Its feathers seemed to constantly change from bright reds, to maroons, to purple, and even black in the dusk sunlight. The moment was spoiled, however, when more people approached. The eagle shrieked, beating its powerful wings just hard enough to rise up off the ground. In one fluid motion, it whipped its prey at the crowd behind me.
This is one of a few dream birds I've been lucky enough to be visited by... in dreams, of course! This big bird is needle-felted our of wool, with some felt feathers. You can find this powerful predator in my shop!

It's very neat, and very red! Is the body a blend of red and black, or is it some shade of purple? Whatever it is, it looks darn good next to that bright red at the edge of the wing. Pretty stunning work!
