Mendenhall Glacier, Alaska
Just about 12 miles north of downtown Juneau, most of the Mendenhall Valley is filled with this work of ice. The Mendenhall is probably the most photgraphed glacier in Alaska. Considering you can drive to it's visitor's center and get a distant view of the glacier. For those more adventurous, there are trails that will take you right up to the glacier. And yes, with the planet's current condition, it is receeding.
