Daily Newf 127 - Revisit - Lockheed

EDIT: YES i realize she has the colours of a male, my excuse is artistic liberties. we’ll go with genderqueer, and identifies as female.

i wasn't going to post this as a newf at first, but it technically doesn't break any of my rules.
ransom convinced me that it counts, so here we go.

Lockheed is based on a redwing blackbird.
she was going to have that weird drab olive green that the military tends to use for her cybernetics, then thought that makes no sense considering what inspired her. (the Lockheed blackbird, one variant has red markings)

i came up with some story stuff for her while i was colouring, mainly that she belongs to a military scout group (of bird people), being small they tend to fly under the radar and close to ground. anyhow, her crew got bombed one mission, most of them survived, but like lockheed they ended up with cybernetics, though she has the most extensive work done, gives her a bit of an ego mind you.

as for the cybernetics on birds, they would be heavy yeah? and really affect the weight, thus making it difficult to fly.
so how did they deal with this? small thrust generating devices! though they do need to cool after extended use, and the vent covers double as air breaks.

anyhow, despite her ego, she does volunteer with groups to help people who are having trouble adjusting to the cybernetic lifestyle mostly because she lacked such support when she initially became a cyborg.
