basically, what would happen if tails was unable to save sonic from metal in the ova? he would have just been choked to death by metal sonic in front of his friends, unable to do anything
i mean throughout the movie it's obvious that metal sonic much more powerful so

I assume Metal Sonic would take a bit of a roll as an "Anti-Sonic" or the Sonic of robotnik's world. I feel that Metal's saving of Old Man Owl and the President was due to the fact Tails permanently messed up metal's programming/personality to bring out Sonic's empathy. That's just my headcanon, though! LOL

this makes me wonder, what would become of metal afterward? he would be purposeless. maybe his imprint of sonic's personality would end up coming out in the end when his goal as a robot was complete. but now that sonic is gone, would he still kill himself or would he try to fill sonic's shoes?
