Maharaj hero

Cyborg-Lucario

Originally published on my Patreon the 9nth of March. A concept for the world of Brehna, a project I have plans for. Here's some fluff for a historic figure for one of the races.

The gazelle like species called Maharaj, which they named after their own land and means in their language "the crowned". They're a race known for their architecture and advancements in technology and magic. But they haven't always been like that, as legends tells of a time where the maharaj only knew how to build huts and make fire to protect them from predators. But there were monsters who doesn't fear fire as easily as others, so the maharaj were still in peril. Until one day, a hero went out to discover a way to protect his people. One night, he fought a troll, who wanted some fresh meat. The hero impaled it with the horns on his head, but seeing as it didn't kill it, he burned it down with a torch. He realised that he was lucky and that he should be better prepared and took the club that the troll used. He continued on his journey and made some great heroics amongst the tribes. He then taught the people how to build clubs, and later spears as an extension of their horns. He later invented the hatchet and axe so that the maharaj could use it for farming and gathering wood. Though he couldn't figure out the material of his club, and there were no other troll or monster who used anything similiar. So he set out on another adventure to find the origin of his club. He searched for months until he came across a cave at what was presumed to be the end of the world, but there was another land beyond in wich another species lived, though some of them did enter their lands to try and conquer it. But that species is for another history. In the cave, he met an old maharaj, but with clothes out of a material he has never witnessed. He saw the old maharaj work with a hammer and a big lump that looks like it's made of the same material as his club. The hero went up to the old maharajto ask him about becoming his apprentice. The old maharaj turned around to see the hero, but he grew happy to see the club as he missed it. So the old Maharaj accepted him as his apprentice as he taught him blacksmithing, and that the materials he worked with were iron and smithing them with coal makes steel, a stronger material. And that's the material the club and the lump, called an anvil was made of. Then when the hero learnt the art of blacksmithing, so did the old man reveal himself to be a dragon, who calls himself the god of metals "Hadjid", and proclaimed that the hero will be the first king of the united Maharaj, and so gifted him with clothes worthy of a king and the anvil and the blueprints of how to build a smelter. And so the hero with his knowledge of smithery built up his kingdom and taught his children and others how to make tools before he passed away by old age. The legendary hero's name? Sahir, the god of craftmanship.

Yes, the word maharaj comes from maharaja, great kings in arabian cultures.
