The lizard-like... well, lizmen. They are a race from an unknown land far away who came to Mahin several years ago because their land got lost (they have never specified what happened to it).

They were met with suspicion and racist remarks from the locals. Their leader tired of not fitting in anywhere asked the empress about granting them somewhere for them to live.

The empress told them about a demon army who'se leader was completely invincible and cannot get hurt. If they could kill him, then they would get somewhere to call home.

The lizmen accepted what was most certainly a suicide squad no one expected to survive. But the lizmen were clever. Their leader, who history calls Forcing River (according to lizmen traditions so do you have two names. One is your real "secret" name, while the other is a codename) sent out spies to infiltrate the demon army to find out if the general had any weaknesses.

Sure enough, they found out that he did have a weakness. During one hour on a certain day, he would become completely mortal and has to be kept safe in his hut.

And to their luck, so was the that day tomorrow. So they made their preparations.

In the next day before the demon general became mortal, so did he eat his favourite food, grilled steak. But what no demon knew was that some lizmen poisoned the food with a slow working poison. So when the general was to his hut to await for his hour of mortality to be over, so did the poison take its effect and killed him.

The demons got demoralized and confused by their leaders death, which made it easier for the lizmen to scare them away into the hole they once came from and sealed it.

With that, so did they bring the head of the demon general to the shindoun empress.

The empress couldn't believe what she was seeing, and was going to back down from her deal, if it wasn't so that her consort of politicians and daimyos were there. Giving her an awkward moment because she couldn't show such a cowardly act like not fullfilling a deal.

So she gave the lizmen the region they liberated from the demons.

The lizmen culture favours being sneaky and sly, working for whomever who can give them the most money. Most of them practice ninjutsu everyday, and aren't afraid to teach other species the art of ninjutsu. Though so far, only the striped shindoun have shown actual interest in learning it.

Some would say that lizmen are coldblooded, which may be true, but females in particular can be really compassionate and loving to people. But it could just be so that they can get jewelries and shiny beautiful things. Because the females really love shiny valuables.

They live in huts or simple houses of three with thin paper walls.

They also knows how to make silk clothes, and recently how to dye your clothes with patterns for better camoflague.
