      Thank you. :) The late 90s was pretty much the era when I finally broke away from poor adaptations of Tiny Toons and Disney Afternoon styles and started getting serious about developing my own style based directly upon the actual animals instead of someone else's stylized version of them. In many ways, I'm still working on getting them looking right, but at least I'm getting there.

        Based directly upon the actual animals... huh. You might have just gave me the answers to how this all works. I should try that and see how it plays out.

          As you've probably already heard somewhere, using references isn't cheating. If anything, going off pictures of real animals will help to stylize the critters your way and make them more your own.
