Hyper Indoor Lacrosse League - MANCHESHIRE BRAVEHEARTS

This was one of the earliest team concepts I imagined up for what would be the HILL. Back in 2014, when I was finalizing Barrage Boxley's character design, I thought up more teams in the league he plays in such as this one, the Mancheshire Bravehearts.

The team's nickname was inspired by an existing collegiate baseball team known as the Worcester Bravehearts. The Bravehearts baseball team began play in 2014, the same year I introduced Barrage. The team's city name is a fusion of two English city names, Manchester and Cheshire.

The primary logo is a shield with red and white vertical stripes on it, surrounded by a thick blue stroke. "MANCHESHIRE" is at the top in white letters, and a banner with "BRAVEHEARTS" on it wraps around near the bottom of the shield. A red heart with a blue stroke is placed above the banner in front of the stripes.

The secondary logo is a pretty simple logo. It's basically a red heart with an Olde English style 'M' for "Mancheshire". The heart has a blue stroke going around it.

Much like the baseball team this HILL team is named after, the Mancheshire Bravehearts also have a lion mascot. This one is named "Morale". He represents spirit, motivation, and self-esteem.

The owner of this Star Conference team is named Phillip A. Strong. The owner's last name was chosen to represent strength - being strong both physically and mentally.

The Bravehearts' arena's name, the VNV Center is a nod to the electronic music act, VNV Nation, who I am a fan of for their music, and for the brilliant and encouraging messages in their songs. "VNV" stands for "Victory, Not Vengeance". However, in the HILL universe, the naming rights to the arena belong to a company called VNV Credit Union.
