Hyper Indoor Lacrosse League - CLIPPER CITY ADMIRALS

This is the league's nautical-themed team, the Clipper City Admirals. This concept was inspired by an existing sports team, the AHL's Norfolk Admirals. I always liked their navy and gold combo, so that's what I went with when choosing the team's color scheme.

The primary logo has a gold navigation wheel with a blue outline, black bolts circling around it, and a picture of a clipper ship in the center, all of this peaking up from behind the wordmark, made up of a trapezoid with the team's name in two different fonts, in it, one of them being a military-style stencil font.

The shoulder logo is a gold shield with a thick blue outline. On it is an anchor with a lacrosse stick head at the top, and two black 'C's is a stencil font, different from the one used on the primary logo.

The team's mascot is an otter named Admiral Skipjack. Along with the jersey and shorts, Admiral Skipjack also wears a Navy Admiral's hat.

The Admirals' owner's name is Donovan McKay. It's a nod to a famous ship designer from the 1800's, Donald McKay, known for designing ships that would set records for fastest speeds and trips, like his "Flying Cloud" going on a then record-breaking 89-day voyage from New York City to San Francisco, a record that would stand until 1989. (Donald McKay's also one of my ancestors, BTW!)

The company with the arena's naming rights is Neptune Cruiselines. Therefore, the arena's called the Neptune Cruiselines Center.

The Clipper City Admirals play in the Warrior Conference.
