The internal organs of a Dreameater appear rather standard for a mammalian creature, and yet they are the exact opposite.

The first and most notable feature of their inner workings is their tongue. Which is actually bout 98% external. Much like a prehensile tail, they use their tongue to grab and hold on to things. It is vital when eating, as a Dreameater lacks a functioning bottom jaw. The tongue is used to grab and hold on to prey while they eat.

But how can they eat if they don't bite, chew or tear? That leads to the next interesting trait of a Dreameater. They have two stomach like organs, but only one of them actually processes the food. The others sole purpose is to produce gastric acid. With the help of a fortified esophagus they 'vomit' the contents of this acid stomach onto the prey while they hold it close to their mouth.

An impatient Eater will often attempt to simply swallow it's prey whole. This often leads to the beast having to rest for several days while their body attempts to process the sudden massive intact of nutrients forced upon it.

Due to their method of food consumption, their digestive tract is quite short since after it's been through their stomach there isn't much left to process.

The next notable feature is their lack of any sort of reproductive organs. This has baffled scientists for years, as it is quite clear that they do in fact reproduce.
