It's been a hard year but the year has also moved at lightning speed. Not a day goes by I don't miss my sister. Sometimes it jumps out at me like a freight train and feels like some awful dream. I get sad and angry at the unfairness of it all. But one thing that I haven't felt since coming back to earth last December is alone.

I was never, ever alone, not for one second.

I have so many beautiful friends that were there for me with kind messages and good company and prayers and even thoughtful tokens in the mail. I was reminded every day that mourning isn't something you have to go through alone.
