Quick Mighty-anne

Mighty-anne was a character I always struggled with a lot, and so she never got quite as much work as the other members of Light Bomb. She's a very angry person, believing that most problems in the world can be solved through direct confrontation, even if that means violence. She's a hunter-gatherer with a healthy intact culture, getting thrown into the modernized world was a messy culture shock from which she has not yet had time to recover. She's a ball of rage fighting with the idea of imparity at every facet of her life, and when she's not angry, she's often condescending. Under all of that, though, she's a 16 year old girl with a lot on her shoulders, and she can probably best be described as tired.

Mighty-anne hails from an island chain off of Hoenn where her people, the Eastridge Island Mightyena have lived for centuries. Unusually large and feral, they are in the middle of a development dispute where multiple corporations are trying to claim her pack's home in order to mine the precious stones under it. In order to quell vicious rumors that they are not people, Mighty-anne, as the oldest daughter of the pack leaders, was sent away to get an education in order to better advocate for their cause. She is sometimes pulled out of school for activist causes or to speak with small press organizations, which is a great source of stress to her.

Mighty-anne has a lot of mannerisms that remind people of a common housepet, including barking and walking on all fours, which combined with her temper, can be frighting to some. She has bonded mostly with her best friend Headlight, who also feels alienated by high school life. Mighty-anne is a great serious foil for Headlight's silly nature, and Headlight commiserates with Mighty-anne's perpetual feelings of sacrifice. Mighty-anne is also close with Sammy, who saw her as a pity case that he immediately felt the need to be responsible for, but the two of them have bonded over their shared pressures of responsibility. Joining Team Light Bomb was a turning point for Mighty-anne in terms of socializing with other students, and building a little found family away from her home.
