These are Kujira and Momiji's parents, Sakura and Cactus.

Cactus is a CEO of a small home goods compary and local politician who has spearheaded grassroots movements in his town. He's well known, generally respected, and affluent. Cactus had great expectations for both of his daughters, and is generally frustrated with Kujira for what he refers to as "wasting time". Cactus' grandparents were apparently nobles, and he still shares in financial gains from that family, despite considering himself to have been self-made. Personally, Cactus has been called charismatic, if a little aloof. He prefers to provide suggestions and encouragement rather than actually address his children's complicated emotions, which Momiji finds inspiring and Kujira greatly resents.

Sakura, like her husband, is very driven. She co-owns the family business, and loves fast-paced, complicated work. Before settling down, Sakura apparently did a lot of dating and traveling, so despite coming from a similar background to Cactus, she's much less concerned with traditional life paths. Momoji finds her frustrating because of her "follow your heart" mantra, and thinks her artistic ways to be boring and impractical. Which serious and flat at work, she reserves much of her emotional energy for her family, to whom she is warm and engaged. She was Kujira's hero, but is kind of disappointed in her for her lack of motivation.
