While trying to delete my account (Unable to) I saw some shit that just made me close the tab. Some freak posted a picture of his anus.

They banned me, and I haven't done anything wrong. I was calm and mature in regards to the recent drama and I was openly against harassment and death threats being sent to the devs, and this is what I get in return. Is it really so difficult to just be a decent alternative to DA?

Yeah, they're just jerks. Honestly though, you may count that ban as a blessing for you, cuz I did find out that one of the developers there is a P3D0PHILE, and that they've sent us that cringey poll in the notifs and on the home page, which was causing many of the users to leave. We weren't even able to delete our accounts (which I don't think it's even legal for ANY company to disable that option for us) so we just had to mark ourselves gone while leaving a list of social media for anyone to follow us on. Of course, it's really heartbreaking, cuz I was having high hopes for that website to be as decent as DeviantArt could be, now it's totally shattered...

EDIT: I was now able to delete my account. They just for some reason didn't let us... Which I think is just dumb...

It's the same for me. I actually felt like I belonged somewhere and that experience I naively expected to get out of DeviantArt that DeviantArt itself denied me, being able to share art, make friends, and enjoy myself on site, Buzzly gave that to me, and then it was just ripped out of my hands.
This sucks.

yeahh they got me too, well deleted my account really for like literally no reason at all. besides I was on hiatus anyway cos I got bullied a while back. So yeh, screw that site lol buzzly can buzz off for all I care. =P

I understand. It seems like they're planning to allow illegal content on the site too so it's probably better that I stay away anyway. I'll just have to keep searching and hope I can find the right platform for myself. At least ArtSpacious is making more progress.

that's really bad.. honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the site didn't last for long, I even heard they stole coding from other sites including deviantart to make it into their own, which I hear also isn't allowed either. I just hope nobody uses my art for nfts or anything, I already put up with enough theft.. D: Had an nft retweet one of my characters Tiny on twitter so i blocked the person just to be safe
sadly Furiffic is closing down aswell as SheezyArt, unfortunately i never got to know Sheezy but Furiffic was a really good site, it's a shame it had to end like this.. :c

Weasyl is still my #1 art site tho, everyone there is just so nice ^-^-
Yeah. Although to their credit, DeviantArt is no longer using the legacy design for their site so they probably didn't care, and from the looks of it they're no better, having stolen ArtStation's design to use Eclipse. Of course I hope that doesn't come off like I'm defending Buzzly, especially after how they treated me and much more of their former userbase.
I used Furiffic, wasn't really my thing, but it's sad it's closing down nevertheless. Sheezy is exactly how I would expect from a SheezyArt fan revival, and it was right up my alley. I miss it a lot, and I really enjoyed the community, customization, and the overall positive experience I had with it.
I'm pretty hyped for ArtSpacious too, and you're very welcome for the recommendation ^w^-
yeahh I don't really like deviantart either, i was bullied on there way more than I was on buzzly. Bullies took the whole hate thing way too far all because I blocked them and defended myself from them and their attacks and even went as far as ranting and hate art. not to mention they even went as far as hacking and tried to dox me. insane these people.. ¬.¬
even after i left and even after i deleted my account years ago, they're still tryna steal my characters and even had an imposter trying to frame me which staff did nothing about, even thought they claim to take impersonating "sErIoUsLy". so yeh, screw deviantrant aswell, da's just yet another drama infested site to avoid. I wish I got to know sheezy tho :c it sounded like a good place

I had pretty much the exact same experience myself on DeviantArt with the bullying, hate art, flipping out when I blocked them, the one huge difference being that I actually was doxxed and my personal information was used to try and have a dangerous individual sent to my house. The staff did pretty much nothing about it. I was actually the one who got banned after one person who I won't name admit to mass-reporting me and insulted an entire ethnicity from where I live and made fun of me for it, falsely believing me to be of said ethnicity when I'm actually not. I wasn't even born here...
Sheezy was definitely a good place and it was infinitely safer than DeviantArt from my experience. I miss it and hopefully they'll be back one day, even if it's under a different team. I'll probably remain here for a good while though, Weasyl looks like a good place for me to archive some of my best works and ideas in the future, and I hope it remains online for at least a good while. They're much better at handling harassment, especially since smaller communities are easier to manage.-
I guess we know how each other feels then, I'm sorry you had to put up with similar.. :< even after I deleted my account years ago, I'm still having to put up with alot of theft on there, it's like they never seem to gimme a break like they want me off the internet or something, it's crazy really.. D: right now there are some really bad people impersonating me and framing me on there, they're also tryna copy my artstyle and steal my characters, doing kill art and hate art while sexualising/fetishizing them in bad ways. not to mention they spreaded alot of misinformation about my comic on a fake site so i've had to announce an awareness/beware thing on one of my real sites. but yeahh if you see any one on deviantart claiming to be me then it's not me. same with literature, if a site says it's "about fetishes", not true either. but if it says it's a fantasy comedy instead then yeah that's probably me
but yeahh sorry you went through all that :< i'm still sometimes being bullied and stalked by haters, even though it's been years they're still jealous of me. at this point i don't really care anymore if people at mad at me and hate me. it use to sadden me knowing i had haters but now i don't care and just dab on them lol it's actually kinda funny that they're mad and jealous, i find laughing it off makes me feel better about the whole thing ^w^ but yeah some of my bullies/harassers only came on weasyl to try and pick on me on my bday (they're that monstrous i know) though at least they came a bit too late because my bday was almost over anyway lol these haters are so dumb XD but yea i managed to tell on them and thankfully i got them banned. whew!
