Kaja's father was a pro-hero, and his quirk was taking animal powers, like Kaja's quirk, but less expansive, his were limited to animals only while Kaja's covers most things

Kaja's dad's name is Ellowyn (which is just like another name for elm trees) and he had a very special coat, the one Kaja is sporting currently, it was special because it was made very specifically to contort with his body for whatever animal parts he adopted
