The two of them didn’t seem to notice as all the others drifted away, saying their goodnights and heading home for the evening, or heading off to somewhere more raunchy than a simple popup for drinks.

“Oh! did you know that the honey bees produce is different for what time of year it is?”

Lyna said excitedly, nursing her drink only slightly fast than Aizawa was his own.

“I think I’ve heard of it before, but please, tell me about it.”

The teacher mumbled, unconsciously leaning forwards on an elbow as the other spoke, smiling as her flew about whilst she described aspects of her passion.

“Alright, lovebirds, closing time.”

The bartender finally interrupted, clapping their hands. “finish up and decide his or her place, but you two can’t stand here making googoo eyes at each other all night.”

Lyna blushed and Aizawa sighed at the comment, but they both stood up quickly, Aizawa moving to steady Lyna when she swayed, her legs having fallen asleep in the time they were talking.

“oh dear! oh dear!” Lyna mumbled. “what time is it? Mercurius will be worried sick!”

“your son?” Aizawa asked, remembering that Lyna had mentioned her son earlier. “I guess I better walk you home then, to make sure you get home safe.”

“you don’t have to.” Lyna started, but Aizawa was already picking up her bag for her. “I wouldn’t feel right letting you walk home alone this late at night. please, let me take you home.”

“looks like it’s your place, girly.” the bartender laughed as they cleaned up, and Lyna jumped at the assumption, but she steeled her shoulders and took Aizawa’s offered hand. “I’d love that.” she said firmly, taking her purse and slinging it over her opposite shoulder.

Kind of a first date, but really they were just both dragged out for drinks (by other teachers, and since Lyna is near best friends with Ms. Midnight, she got dragged along as well, this is obviously before the teachers had to stay at the school to protect the students) and because Lyna was new to this group and didn't know anyone, she doesn't want to talk to many people besides Midnight, but Midnight is one of the main centers of attention, so Lyna backs away from that, and Aizawa isn't particularly fond of being there, and they kinda just drifted to each other? and started talking, and just kept talking talking for hours, then Aizawa walks her home, and it just goes from there, may exchange numbers, maybe that's a second date thing, but they talk to each other a lot
