I was admittedly also being lazy and copy/pasted one frame so I wouldn't have to draw everything for a fourth time, which is really not helping. But at least I know what I won't be doing again!

actually i couldn't even tell; if anything it might help to create more stability with this kind of scribbly idle animating

It's of one of those really subtle things that makes a huge difference. It reinforces a really robotic, harsh back-and-forth feeling, rather than a more natural 3 frame loop, which just feels wiggly and overall smooth. I'm not entirely sure because I don't have the working files anymore, but I'm faaairly certain any of the other animated comics (barring Pauvres Defan Amis, which is at 10 fps) I've done are at the same framerate :U I could be wrong though, and the difference between 12 and 15 fps is honestly difficult to for me tell apart!
