Iiiiit's Powergliiiiide!

• Powerglide’s ability to fly and it’s usefulness is definitely a skill that’s gone way to his head. Especially compared to his majority-land-based Autobot teammates.
• He grew up in a primarily non-flyer family on Cybertron in a mostly ground-based area something that at the start of his life-cycle caused a lot of insecurity.
• His neighbour, Moonracer, however thought his flying was phenomenal and told him so constantly.
• Thus began the ‘Powerglide fanclub’ or at least that’s what Powerglide will claim anyway.
• Moonracer is his best friend and one of the few he can manage to brag about without always slipping in a line about his own ‘awesomeness’ too.
• He and Moonracer probably had sleepovers where they’d stay up most of the night with fresh wax drying on their chassis as they share some gossip.
• While everything goes to his head and he’s a complete braggart he’s not entirely self-centred and will give confidence-boosting tips to anyone. It only works if things like “Hey babe, you’re a star! Don’t forget it and someday you’ll shine as bright as me!” work for you.
• When he came to Earth he picked up the habit of calling people “Babe” after he heard a celebrity that was popular claim they did it because they ‘loved their fans’, therefore it was totally an affectionate and cool thing to call your fans right? And everyone is so totally impressed by his super cool air tricks they just gotta be his fans too right?.
• He tries not to do it so much now, especially after he said it to Ratchet (surely his bulky framed-butt would be a fan of his amaaaaazing skills right?) and it got him a hefty pipe to the head.
• He likes proving he’s not just a whizz at tricks in the air and can “strut his fancy stuff” on the ground too, this leads to him prancing about in a rather amusing fashion. Especially as the way he moves does have a bit of a wiggle to it. (AKA Just as his body is designed after a crocodile/lizards he does indeed walk with the same gait as they do, so imagine that trying to ‘strut’ and prance.)
• He’s no push-over but give him an audience and he gains an almost unstoppable sense of bravery.
• He’s both bad and good at keeping secrets, good because he will keep them, bad because he’ll probably mention that X person told him a secret ‘cos he’s totally the best person around for the job. So people will probably know you have a secret, just not what it is.
• Astoria Carlton-Ritz Is the most aggravating, annoying, unlucky, stubborn human he’s ever met…
• Do you think she’s gonna call me today?
• Of course she’ll ring, she has impeccable tastes. This human knows the best when she sees it.
• Will sleep curled around Astoria like a big red metal croissant.
• Does not like having his underside touched. Not even when Astoria tries tickling it as if he were an over-sized puppy.
• Spends more time with Astoria than he does the Autobots.
• Banned from giving Mini’s lifts on his back after he started doing some stunts and accidentally threw Bumblebee into a chasm.
• He’s not equipped with heavy weaponry or armour so as not to restrict his aerial speed and grace, however it leaves him more relying on dog-fighting maneuvers and ‘outclassing’ his enemies in tricks and moves. Combine it with his incessant need to show off and pander to his own ego, there’s a clear fear he’s going to get too flashy one day and his own show-off-ness will do him in.
• He genuinely loved Astoria you know. Not many were both so impressed by him but also willing to shut his ego down if it needed it, like a sweet challenge that made life fun and full of zest.
• Why are humans so fragile and short-lived?
• Why did she have to go earlier than the others?
