Dislikes: mushrooms, way too cold days, when people leave water everywhere in a shower room except in the showers themselves

Dek's species comes from a desert-like planet that has a very strong electromagnetic field, strong lightning storms, and static-y atmosphere, thus most of the fauna, including Flayders, are able to produce high amounts of electricity. The insides of the vents on Dek's neck is skin with blood vessels close to the surface, as well as "sweat" glands. These are to regulate a Flayder's (already very high) body temperature, as the "sweat" evaporates a high rates to transfer heat away from the blood. It would look like steam billowing from these vents as they opened and closed.
