Thinking

CloverSprouts

So I'm getting closer to starting my comic! Like, maybe next year close (but that's only 4 months away now, so that's not so bad). Right now I'm exploring different story ideas and different art techniques for it, along with trying to learn more about the actual art of comic storytelling.

The story I'm currently developing has the working title "Polar Fox." It involves a polar bear and his brother, an Arctic fox. Anyway, this is his brother, the Arctic fox Christopher (name subject to change). Here he's sitting thinking about things, somewhat displeased. But Chris has something of a temper, so he's often displeased. I'm thinking of setting the story in some sort of 1920s-30s anthro alternate reality, so I used 1930s teenage boys' outfits as reference for his clothes.

Time: 1 hour?
Tools: Pigma Micron 03 and 08, Paint Tool Sai

I think that would be a great looking art style for a comic. Looking forward to it!

A story set in the past? I hope it'll show some of the culture from then.

Arctic fox and polar bear brothers... Are they step-brothers or adoptive brothers?

Yeah, if I decide to go ahead and really develop this story I'll make sure to research the time period. Which shouldn't be hard, since I love the 20s-30s!

And they're adoptive brothers. Chris (the Arctic fox) finds Nook (the polar bear) when they're both very young, and Chris' family adopts him.
