Awwwww...having to take a regular med myself, if I forget the moment I wake up, I worry about forgetting--or taking it again.

uuuuuugh im just not USED TO THIS
on 4 November 2014 at 20:26:18 MST
All you have to do it set up the habit...and hopefully you'll settle into it. I take my Synthroid the moment I wake up (and cannot eat for an hour)...to help me remember, a bottle of water and the pills are next to my phone by the bed. I've had this routine for almost 3 years now, so it's habit to reach for it all the moment I wake up.
I know you can get used to it! cheers on

yeah, the problem with connecting meds routine to food routine is i don't...really...have a food routine.

You might be better if you could set an alarm for when to take it then. Good luck to you! hugs

SAME SO HARd, i usually flip the container upside down after i take it, that works a bit. also having a phone alarm.
really cool style btw =w=

OH MAN thats a really good idea. so simple.
but wait what if its
flipped from the day before
do you alternate flips?
on 4 November 2014 at 19:39:15 MST
yeah, just alternating! i guess because it's a visual change it's easier to remember that the container was upside down the day before so it goes right-side up today!
another way is keeping the container next to a calendar and marking off each day!
if you're into the phone thing too, there's an app called MediSafe that is a great scheduler and requires you to check off when you take your meds!
I prefer the off-phone ways myself, tho.

hoooow loud is the phone app? because a major thing here is that when i travel i don't necessarily want alarms going off or family asking why i brought a pill case etc
on 4 November 2014 at 19:39:14 MST
Take my meds with breakfast, right after I've finished eating. Helps me remember.
on 4 November 2014 at 21:27:33 MST
Yeah, that won't work for me haha. Eating is something I have trouble with sometimes.
on 4 November 2014 at 21:53:51 MST
Well, it tends to work with anything you do at regular interval. Maybe even just take them right when you get up as part of your wake up routine. That can still be hard, I know. My meds were not properly ballanced for a long time and I had TONS of trouble remembering if I took them or not
on 5 November 2014 at 10:12:19 MST
i'm trying to work it into my morning routine, but since i'm still trying to work in vitamins in addition to medicine iiii dunno haha
on 5 November 2014 at 10:19:58 MST
Work one into your morning routine, and the other into your bedtime routhine. Beyond that, I got nuthin'
on 5 November 2014 at 11:01:33 MST
nah, both have to be morning. if i take the meds before bed i don't sleep, and if i take the vitamins before bed i don't get the full benefit of them.

I bought a little two dollar week long meds container from walgreens. It's nice, if the compartment is closed with pills inside i didn't take them yet :)
