for kuntos, some kobold-y skuggs turning his kobold sir irus into one of them! but like, in a lovey way lmao
I lean closer to Spielban original source, but the VR Troopers' variant tends to be easier to recognize for most. ^^ (Since most of the Metal Heroes never saw fanslations or translations sadly. TT)
True--I'm MUCH more of a fan of the Japanese originals myself, including the "Ranger" super sentai stuff. But you say "Super Cyborg" or "Gridman" or "Space Sheriff" and nobody will know what you're talking about. chuckle Right now, my big obsession has been getting back into Ultraman--I hadn't seen anything since, uh, "Dyna" in the 90's and after watching "Orb" I'm like--where has this been for the past 20 years of my life?! XD
Though Brad Hawkins was very hot. The only bonus of "V.R. Troopers"! XD
Yeah, i've been getting back into a lot of series slowly but surely--hard to find a lot of the fun as hell showa era stuff with subs too still! D: wish i knew japanese better than i do (i can get most written text w/ audio, but one or the other i start fumbling a LOT more.)
agree on some of the actors making for good toku crushes over the years too :)
I hope that one day Japan will realize what a fandom they have outside of their country. That’s one good thing about Tsubaraya—they know they have a huge western audience, so they actually do their own English subtitling on the Ultra stuff. It makes it easier for Mill Creek to quickly release the DVDs.
I would love to be able to see old stuff like “Space Sheriff Sheridan” and even the older Kamen Rider. I think the last Kamen Rider I saw was “Ryuuki” and that was raw Japanese. My Japanese is semi-decent, but I’d rather have subtitles to help me out! XD
It’s a way to get attached to a toku, with cute actors and actresses! :)

Very interesting to see a V.R. Troopers (Super Cyborg) reference in today's age! :)
