This one started as a little speedpaint sketch, but I really enjoyed the idea and colors, so I decided to spend more time on it, and I'm glad I did. I've been realizing that I can take my sketches farther, and improving my sketches will lead to an improvement in the concept and composition of my finished pieces. Hopefully, this one reflects that. Overall, this piece was fun and relaxing to work on, and feels like a nice accomplishment, now that it's complete.

I thought of the scene itself before possible stories behind it, actually. I guess I'm most fond of looking at this one with the idea that she's planning on sneaking out, and maybe going on an adventure together with the dragon. :3-
that makes me love it even more lol I just love the idea of a "a girl and her dragon". similar to the boy and his dog sorta thing except better cuz its a dragon.
