Well, I'm still trying hard on diferent styles, and probably I didn't got the desired result, but I definitivelly like this technique I accidentelly figured out, though is more like my previous attempts on hyper-realism, also I gave it another try to a light source behind the main object on the pic, there is a lot of stuff to work on.

Now, his garland war outfit will remain the same for a long while, and probably I'll keep working on a good design for his rather simplified macuahuitl (the obsidian sword) which doesn't have fancy ornaments nor anything, and it's not that much a legendary weapon nor anything, but it's extremelly durable...more than a very large iron sword; and Coatl while on berserk mode is capable to swing it hard enough to separate your soul of your body for a brief moment when hitting you...and that's only the metaphysical part, on the physical side it might not be capable to make a clean cut but may penetrate the hardest shells and even crush thick bones. That kind of shield normally is more likely to be used to stop arrows and block strikes done with another macuahuitl, but somehow Tlapololotlatec artisans discovered a dream material for a light weighted shield that cannot be penetrated by even modern world bullets.

I must commision a very good artist for a better pic of this outfit.
