Okay, I'm well aware of the fact I'm one of the few people who actually not only support this pair but who also doesn't hate Bella Donna to the guts. And I'm pretty much fine with it. Rogue can has Magneto for all I care, it seems it works for them quite nice. I prefer to see Gambit happy with his former wife for a change.

On one hand I'm kinda glad how it turned out in the end, on the other hand it bugs me that I messed it up big time. The original picture looked much better than this, but then I put a fixative on paper, which turned up to be a terrible mistake. When I was watching all of the parts done with colored pencils fading back to black, I honestly thought I'm gonna cry. I hoped first it can be simply repaired by putting on next layer of colors. Well, fat chance. Once the paper was sprayed with fixative it started to behave like it've been oiled and it didn't take the colors properly. So I did what I could and leave the rest. All the hard work I had with their hair and skin tones and was proud of that, all gone. C'est la vie. I won't make that mistake again.

The second big fail was my attempt to make Gambit's eye look like it's really glowing. So easy on digital canvas, so much pain in behind with traditional media and lack of skill. Poor thing ended up with a big hole in the eye filled with red acrylic paint and something what looked like an ugly bruise on the face. In other words, sorry Gumbo, no more glowing eyes on paper for you.
