Magic collars never manage to stay predictable. The longer you wear them, the odder their effects can get. That goes double for when you're a creature that can make a large, sudden evolution like a Pokemon...

Redchu was once a simple red-marking'd Pikachu before this red collar got secured around his neck. First, it had given him a foxish overhaul, turning his form far more Fennekin-like, though hybridizing such with his mousey-traits as well. He had just started getting used to it...but a new change was on the horizon.

Most Pokemon evolve, and Red was essentially two Pokemon that both did so. What caused Red's evolution...growing stronger, bumping into a Thunder Stone...was anybody's guess. But the result was certainly not expected. After the strengthening glow of progress had faded, Red nearly fell off-balance as he found himself back on two legs again, just like days of Chu-past!

He was no less a hybrid of fire-fox and zappy-mouse, but the balance had clearly shifted. The Raichu body he now possessed was clear as day...but merged obviously with many fluffy Braixen features! Clearly, the collar was keeping things...unpredictable.

It was no small wonder how these strange mixes of forms always came out looking completely adorable, though...

This was a commission I did in joint with   azurathefox for the very cute   redchu! Azzy did the lines, I did the rest~

This is actually a sequel to another commission Redchu got with us: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18700886/ Pokemon hybrids are always interesting creatures, and it's fun to think about how those mixes of forms might evolve! I personally think this mix looks even better than his pre-evolved mix. :3

Was a fun project to work on too~ I tried to merge a fire and electric effect for the background on this to match the theme. ^^
