This is an OPEN SPECIES that I created! Anybody is welcome to make their own Shadoxes if they so desire. :D Feel free to PM me if you're interested and have more questions about the design requirements of them.

It's taken me far too long to get around and post up my official references of this... <3

You guys might remember that far too long ago, I mentioned I would be changing my fursona. And...after much thought and effort, I did! But I...never officialized it here, because I'm a dumb-dumb. So that's gonna change today. I'm gonna be posting up...shadox art, shadox art, and more shadox art! <3

So what's a shadox? Well, that's a shadow-dog-fox! A mix of canine and vulpine, plus some supernatural spookiness mixed in...as they're also ghosts! Well, sorta~

The first Shadoxes came into existence when a foxie and a doggie loved each other very much, and decided to have cubs. But sadly...the cubs were stillborn. :c However, some wandering spirits in the area took notice and absorbed into the cubs, bringing them back to life...though not as normal fox-dog cubs to be sure, but as the first Shadoxes. This is why the species has a link to the dead...since they're, sort of, zombies or ghosts in a way, even having the ability to restore their bodies if they die. (However, unlike the dead they're linked to, they can actually procreate too!)

Shadoxes come in three forms that they can switch between at will, with each form sharing some similarities. Body, Mind, and Soul are the forms. Here we can see my Body form, which is the most common form to see a Shadox in. In this state a Shadox is at their most physical, and while they have some weak ghostly tricks and abilities they can still pull, their supernatural energy isn't that powerful in this form, as it is the only form fully 'alive'.

But that's quite okay; Body-form Shadoxes are definitely the cutest and floofiest forms, so they got that going for them! <3 I certainly am that way as well; in truth, almost everything you guys love about my Charmeleon can be found in my Body form. I'm still the same cute, playful, vorish fella you guys know and love! Just maybe a bit more...canine! Woooof-yip!

As a Shadox, I have a special glowing symbol on both of my hips; it's actually from   supameep's special Tantar language, and the symbol changes for each form...in my Body form, the symbol appropriately reads 'Body'. The symbol is actually my soul energy well, basically what I use to switch forms and do supernatural things; this is why it glows. My eyes glow the same energy due to them being a literal window to my soul, in a way.

The paper charm reads 'Body, Mind, Soul' in Japanese Kanji. This tag is another staple for Shadoxes to have, as it helps them control their soul energy, and is always worn on the tail. (Though different Shadoxes might 'equip' the tag to different objects; in my case, I'm using some prayer beads.)

Oh, another thing about Shadoxes: they're gender-fluid! Each form typically has its own gender preference, though. For my Body form, I'm typically male. :3
