Weasel's Secret by chama

Weasel's Secret

chama

Weasel's Secret is the third movement in a little piano concerto-ish thing that I started a decade ago. So far, I have written one movement every five years, so I guess it'll be finished in 2012 or so.

I tried to write it in the style of lyrical romantic Nordic folk with a dash of jazz and various classical influences, and furthermost, trying to portray the weasel's cunning, devious but playful personality, totally unabashed of breaking keys and modalities. I'm not sure how well it succeed, but it was great fun writing it.

The fugal part is... well, some day, I'll write a real fugue that works! That day hasn't come yet. At least, each instrument got to play the melody, this time.

Release date: Jan 29, 2007
