Most of the hard work stemmed from the fact that I kept getting distracted by my shiny new Weasyl account. ^_^ I find that with horses in motion I end up spending a really long time on the sketching (and usually have to set the drawing to one side for a while so that I can look at it with fresh eyes) and then the colouring is the easy part. It helps that I've spent years and years drawing horses, so I know their anatomy pretty well. ^_^

Thanks! Friesians are pretty easy to draw as monochrome on black paper! ^_^ Plus, they are such beautiful horses I can't help but to be inspired by them. I was planning to get a friesian one day, but an illness foiled my plans. Now I concentrate on adoring them through my art. :)
