Have my scrawny little Khajiit thief. She started as a joke, how did it get this far? She has been my main character in the Elder Scrolls games pfpfpf

Oh my God she's precious. <3

Also, I'm currently writing this in another window while waiting for my Oblivion reinstall to finish, so I have no room to judge.

Hahaha yes good. I really need to replay Oblivion yet again now that I know we have the DLCs for it.

All the DLCs? I've kind of run into a snag where I got the old Collector's Edition retail version CDs of everything, which (when combined) get you everything except Fighters' Stronghold, which of course is now completely unavailable anywhere. I mean, not that I was actually going to use Fighters' Stronghold even if I had it, but just seeing the big hole red-color-coded missing file in my load order manager (I do a lot of modding okay x_x) is annoying.

Anyway, I've always thought my lizard was the awesomest but this pretty kitty here is almost enough to make me reconsider.

No sadly! Shivering isles and like... one other maybe? I never played it while it was actually relevant so I'm sort of ignorant. Also yee she is so fun to play even if she plays slightly different between Oblivion and Skyrim though. Oblivion Isitbedtime is an escaped slave who just kind of does what she has to do to survive, even if people need to die. Skyrim Isitbedtime avoids confrontation as much as she can pfpfpf

It can be a little confusing to keep track of all the plugins, especially with the Fighters' Stronghold thing! Hopefully this will help? I have the Collector's Edition retail CD version of the original game, the retail CD version of Shivering Isles (which is its own thing,) and the retail CD version of the Knights of the Nine "expansion" (which is basically just took every add-on in that list there except Shivering Isles and Fighters' Stronghold, put them on a CD, and called it an expansion.) Fighters' Stronghold is supposedly available through later rereleases of Oblivion itself (GOTY edition, Steam version, etc.) but the people who did it old-school like that appear to be completely out of luck there? Oh well, at least I have everything else, and like I said, I wasn't even going to use Fighters' Stronghold anyway, just the missing file in my mod load list is bugging me.

Anyway, Isitibedtime aaaaaa cutest name for cutest Khajiit ;o; My Oblivion Argonian is Syrius, which was originally named after my Horizons character which was itself just some random name I thought sounded cool. I later got a bit deeper into Elder Scrolls lore and realized how totally out of place that name is for him... buuuut it could maybe work if it was something like, maybe he used to be Sa'reeus or something and then he deliberately Imperialized it (he is the Champion of Cyrodiil after all) as protest against Black Marsh government/culture. I play him as super lusty and prone to thinking with the wrong head, but other than that a virtuous stop-evil protect-the-innocent noble paladin type, so he'd be super not-okay with their Sithis worship and everything. (Especially after the events of the Ruined-Tail's Tale mod, he's kind of had it up to here with Shadowscales.) The one thing I've never been able to figure out with him is how a decent upstanding fellow like himself got sent to prison for the Oblivion tutorial (unless he was caught in bed with some noble or something,) but now I'm thinking it might have been a stunt he arranged with the help of some sympathetic guard who was in on the scheme, where he'd stage some crime and get arrested and shipped off to the Imperial City prison just so he could get far away from Leyawiin.

I've actually never played Skyrim, I imagine I'd have to retool a lot of this for that! But who knows.

Man, I should get him drawn sometime, especially while I'm still falling so far down back into Oblivion fever. (*Looks at ever-growing pile of mods*)

Pfpfpfp hahahahah Also keep a look out, apparently more work has been put into Skywind lately. Skywind being Morrwind reworked with the Skyrim engine. basically an HD remake. I can't wait. I remember liking Morrowind, but I just can not get passed the Graphics these days.

Also honestly I prefer Oblivion to Skyrim, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy Skyrim! it definitely has its up and downs as any game does, but I don' know it feels like your actions have more realistic levels of consequence in Oblivion.

Also Isitbedtime's actual name is Azashi Baranai but she doesn't know that :3

Man, I actually never got off the ground in Morrowind for gameplay reasons. Hand to hand was useless, Speechraft did no good if everyone was so racist against Argonians that basically every check to persuade anyone into anything always failed anyway, and there were literally no joinable factions in the game that were applicable to my skillset and not, like, blatantly Sith Lord evil. Yeah Oblivion kind of stretched realism a bit by a complete lack of skill checks for guild membership (no matter what your build is you can be the Grandmaster of the Fighters' Guild and the Archmage of the Mages' Guild at the same time SURE WHY NOT) but at least it was easier to find something to do that way. Morrowind just had nothing for virtuous lizards, apparently.

Also that's a nice name too! Aaaa she's so cute :D
