The Aviary (critique requested)

Celesol

This species of harpy must work together in shifts - the females lay the eggs, but is then so exhausted and hungry that they leave the nest to their mates while they hunt.

The males then keep track of the eggs, and keep the nests fluffy and clean while the female restock their energy.

The females will have to hunt enough food for both themselves, and their young, so it will be several weeks before they come back. Until the females come back, the males must sustain themselves with sparse pickings of insects and worms, because they don't dare to leave the nests alone for any longer than that.
