The Insidious Interdictor is a big meanie-head. Like, you and your Ancient are going about your business, and he butts into the conversation like "excuse me, can I ask you a few questions on what you would expect from a quality washing powder", and then you totally forget what you were saying and everyone feels embarrassed. Except I.I., because he's a big meanie-head.

Looking through this world's stuff it's all cool. I was a bit confused about what the difference between an ancient (who can use magic as is) and and mages (who need an ancient) is, but I'm guessing ancients are well, ancient? And there's specific figures? As in, you can't be born one.
And one of them is a ruler. (i.e. Aurelius) compared to Garradin, which when I read Shortstack Spellsword, gave me the impression of being only on some mental plane. So I thought that was the special element. but then it wasn't. um.
ANYWAY this is cute and I like these ideas
