The thing I like with digital is all the effect you can't do traditionally.
Since I'm discovering that, I may sometime overdo it.

Just... Try! It takes a few weeks of adaptation but you can rapidly make something pretty decent if you're already decent traditionally.
See my list of free softwares in my profile; Krita is kinda equivalent to photoshop and sufficient for almost anything. :)-
I would probably mostly use it for shading. Pencil shading is ridiculously hard for me idk.
