This is the yarn tail that I wore to Denver Comic Con 2015 and wrote about my experiences with yarn tails at conventions in my journal here: A Short Guide to Wearing Yarn Tails while Conventioneering
This yarn tail is made out of 100% acrylic yarn, specifically I Love This Yarn! brand, with an elastic band at the base that allows you to wear it via a belt~

Do you make custom ears and tails too?

I plan to open up for some custom tail orders very, very soon here. So soon in fact that I would be happy discussing with you what you're looking for if you'd like, and then I could just point you in the direction of my etsy listing once I make it :3 For a very rough quote, I charge $1 and inch, but there are other factors like number of colors, whether or not I have the color you want in stock or have to order it, complexity, etc. that factor into the price as well. As for ears, I'm currently testing out some different ear techniques, so unfortunately I don't sell those yet, but in the future when I'm more proficient at them I plan to for sure :D
