I'm trying to make a poison dart frog hat for my brother-in-law (for his birthday so it's a surprise, don't tell him, daswuetend).

But my friend pointed out to me that the black spots I put on him look like panda markings, and now I can't unsee it, and I'm not sure if it's evident that this is a frog.

Should I add a little smiley mouth? Or does that just add to the panda image?

I could make a goofy tongue stick out of the brim of the hat.

At the ends of the braids, there will be froggy hands (I haven't attached them yet). So, hopefully that helps clarify that it's a frog and not a grotesque yellow panda with eyes for ears. Maybe.

Anyone have any thoughts?
