My very first con badge!! I'm heading to Anthro New England either tomorrow or Saturday, and I needed a badge. So I made one! (Pretend the / is black, btw.) This took HOURS of hard work, including printing out the right-sized words (Lithograph Bold, and yes, that is indeed the Banjo-Kazooie/Yooka-Laylee font!) when my computer can't talk to the printer; transferring the lines by tracing on the printout on top of the paper with a ballpoint pen, leaving the indents as lines; learning how to fill and use Rapidograph pens and inking the lettering; sketching the faces just right; inking with the Rapidographs; coloring with Prismas (finding right colors and color combinations for some areas to get the right color, and using the colorless blender...to discover that Rapidograph India ink does, indeed, get picked up by it, like Pilot pens and pretty much EVERYTHING ELSE I use for traditional inking); and finally cutting it out.
And then scanning it just right and then rescanning with a background so you can see the edges.
DEAR GOD I AM NEVER DOING A TRADITIONAL BADGE AGAIN X_X
Also, as you can see, I'm going to make some changes to Carephrii! I've toned down his eyes and his spikes a bit in color, and his underside now starts at his lower lip. He's also wearing a vest, but it's black so you can't tell very well |D;
Anyway! Prismacolor & Rapidograph on Bristol, scissors, hole punch.
FerreTrip and Carephrii are copyright me.
