An Eliuser is by all means not something someone learns. A Synthician is a higher learned form and discipline of synth but an Eliuser can easily outmatch them.
For one to be an Eliuser one has to be gifted from birth in an innate natural ability that extended far beyond first form ability but was still first form because the Eliuser still had to enter metasynth. Development is needed to reach peak appreciation of abilities but is not necessary; if an Eliuser passed along the discipline of synth, formally, up till a synthician then the combined power would be astronomical. Alvin is such and gained his reputation for his remarkable abilities to provide therapy through the physical and metaphysical joining of bodies and by a free sexual and associative theory (like a hippie but no drugs). This created a longer life span and better relations which in turn meant no wars, etc. with those that were positive to the movement but there were resisters and Alvin was banished eventually as it grew in movement. He knew about his innate abilities and his status as an eliuser so that was why he chose to pursue synthicism and no one was a wiser, except Solidos who engineered the resistance. His peak power as an Eliuser he has started to climb to but is still some ways off though he is more than a match with other colleagues and synthicians and could destroy Solidos but he isn't like that.
The difference between Alvin and Ias is the way they honed their abilities. Alvin did formal study while Ias did it naturally experimenting and using his abilities on a regular basis. This he did in the wilderness for some time but the Elders saw that he was becoming too destructive so approached him and gave him Pranoke where he perfected his powers to Galatic Proportions. After Ias engineered his own version of the Elders' masprits, he slacked off a bit but this was because he reached near peak.
So follows the prolouge to the continuing chronicles of Alvin Abernous, this being the Second Part: Fireclaw.
Ias woke up in the middle of the night and the moon of pranoke was shining down into the parting of the trees in the clear overhead. He took a look around expecting to find something wrong but he was still at the edge of the field they were all sleeping at. Ias got up as he was sure something was not quite right and he moved around all that were sleeping. There was Alvin not to far off curled up under a blanket on the grass. He had it drawn up to the top of his head but Ias knew it was Alvin as the hair on his head was the usual lightest brown almost golden brown. The ghostly image of Sko floated up to him and became a more solid yet translucent white form, "Ias?"
"Something's wrong, I can feel it," Ias replied looking around again but the others were under blankets or in sidge's case being a dragon, all curled up with no blanket. The wind picked up bringing a slight chill but otherwise the air was calm and mildly warm the land being at best subtroprical and hardly every cold by day and night.
"Maybe something isn't wrong but right," Sko replied in the riddle tone he had started using lately in quite an annoying manner, almost condescending it seemed to Ias.
"I can't figure it out," Ias complained irritated mostly at Sko.
"Don't you see it followed you?" Sko replied in his calmest tone tilted his ghostly head back looking up with his sapphire blue dotted eyes.
Ias was irritated even more but on impulse glanced upward and back down at Sko. He saw the white circle of pranoke in his quick glance, "So, it's Pranoke..." Ias shot his gaze back up at the moon. The moon he had lived on for the past many years of succession. He couldn't believe it, Pranoke was passing around Fireclaw directly overhead Ias.
"Another wonder of the world," Sko mused still looking up at it then he looked at Ias.
"It's like a dog or..." Ias pained at the memory of his creations and the thought of Pranoke brought the memory back. The ones that were lost on Abelbi. He couldn't think anymore of Pranoke now and his mind shut it out of his consciousness.
"What happened," Alvin muttered from at their feet.
"Pranoke followed Ias," Sko said.
Alvin jumped to his feet and looked up, "That... how is that possible, a whole world following someone. I never heard in the myths about Pranoke following a person."
"Not just a person," Ias said scratching his head and shrugging his shoulders.
"You probably haven't heard that it is also a myth among the magineans to be the channeling source of all synth on the planets and that it appears over every planet," Sko said with a wry smile.
Alvin gazed at Sko with the left corner of his mouth turned up, "No. But I was taught the Silver Beacon was supposed to channel all synth."
"No necessarily," Sko said his smile gone and he glanced up at Pranoke again and drifted slightly to Ias's right then stopped looking off into the distance.
"Tell me Sko," Ias snapped to attention on Sko.
"I see two dragons making their way toward the field Ias. Mates, full Pranoke, you can probably surmise what they are going to do. It doen't look like they will fully enter the open though," Sko responded and turned toward him showing no expression.
"Moonlight madness?" Alvin suggested shrugging no expression either.
"Just About." Ias replied and looked down slightly smiling.
"What are their names Sko?" Alvin asked.
"I cannot give you their names Alvin," Sko said immediately.
"Allow them to come here," Ias said simply to Sko.
"What?" Alvin said looking off toward the edge of the field Sko indicated and back at Ias and started to move.
A flare of white light erupted up and outward right next to them and cleared completely leaving two full fledged dark brown scaled dragons one to the side ahead and the other to the side behind the ahead one.
"You realize what you're doing?" Alvin said looking fully on the dragons and moved slightly backing a little away from them.
The creatures looked around regarding the company sleeping and standing next to them and the field they now stood in. Then the one ahead regarded Ias slightly turned and brought his next up and turned his head and gave a snort. Then they both went off on their toward the edge of the field.
"Well, you never know until you try," Ias said smiling and looked over at Alvin seeing and immediately dropped his smile as he wasn't there. Turning around he saw that he had dropped down low into a tuft of grass behind Ias.
"Try? Sure." Alvin said standing up and looking after the creatures who dissapeared into the forest.
"This is a dragon world, you're going to have to get used to this," Sko said to Alvin.
"There's probably more here than dragons," Ias said to Sko.
"Indeed, but the dragon population holds the most footing," Sko responded.
