A nightmare for anyone suffering from trypophobia, wandering hives, sentient shambling husks home to innumerable numbers of hornets native to the Elderscapes, prefer to dwell in dark dank humid areas, keeping their swollen putrid skin cool and damp for their denizens. If attacked or alerted, it's pores will swell open, oozing with the wasps that swarm to it's defense.

These bloated monstrosities suffer from a major weakness, however. Their waxy skin is extremely flammable. Being exposed to an open flame could turn them to a pile of ashes in a matter of seconds.

The only place that wandering hives cannot be found in the Elderscapes is within the territory of Maximus Thraxx, or the Glorivum Proper.
